Science For All

We believe every Canadian should feel empowered and valued in shaping the future of scientific knowledge, understanding and practice.

A few things we’re great at

The Ingenium Foundation works to amplify all aspects of Ingenium’s mission and to provide Canadians an opportunity to celebrate our country’s rich history of scientific discoveries through:

We empower Canada’s science educators, advocates and future innovators through training and skills development, providing tools and resources, best practice sharing opportunities and bursaries.

We energize and support creative scientific engagement innovations designed to inspire scientific discovery and learning for Canadians of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

We work to enrich the diversity of Canada’s scientific history and future by supporting initiatives that amplify the contributions and voices of those which have been mostly ignored.

We provide a boost of resources needed to ensure Canada’s national science museums and their world class collections are well cared for and accessible to all Canadians.

Welcome Wednesdays Coming this Summer

The barn doors are being thrown wide open! The Ingenium Foundation is very proud to support this initiative, which invites EVERYONE for a series of FREE evenings of special programming at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.

Open to individuals, families, and community organizations, Welcome Wednesdays offers everyone an opportunity to learn more about where their food comes from, the science of farming, and the chance to see a working dairy farm first hand!

Check out, our latest supporter update!

During the 2017 re-development of the Canada Science and Technology Museum, the Ingenium Foundation provided funding for the construction of a Universal Washroom – which includes an adult-sized change table and motorized lift.

We are thrilled to share that the Canada Science and Technology Museum is the first national public institution in Canada to receive the Accessibility Certified Gold rating under the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ (RHFAC) program.
