Accessibility at the Canada Science and Technology Museum
Museums are for everyone.
That vision inspired the Canada Science and Technology Museum revitalization team to integrate accessibility from the very beginning of their plans.
These efforts made a real difference. The new Museum has level flooring to minimize barriers for visitors using mobility devices, accessible seating, exhibitions designed according to accessibility standards addressing sensory, motor, and cognitive impairments. It is the only museum in the National Capital Region with a universal washroom, which has opened up the museum for groups previously unable to visit.
We are proud of what we have accomplished, but there is still more to do. The Museum is currently working with different communities to help develop an accessibility app aimed at enhancing the museum’s experience for all visitors.
You can help make a real difference for visitors to this incredible museum. We invite you to donate today in support of a more accessible future at the Canada Science and Technology Museum.
