An Incr-Edible field trip
In November 2014, the students of the Autism Spectrum Disorders Program at Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary School (Ottawa, ON) participated in the Incr-Edible School Program at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum. One of the group’s teachers, Sharon Martinson, shares her experience with the program:
“The students had a blast, and the learning was non-stop! I highly recommend this program for students of all abilities and grade levels. The topics, activities, and discussions were expertly led by our guide, and had many different curriculum and real-world connections. The pizza the students made and then ate perfectly concluded an incredible field trip.”
This exciting and unforgettable trip was made possible by donors to the Museum’s Adopt-a-Class program, which offers a chance to visit the museum to children and youth who would not otherwise have that opportunity.
